What each line of sizes.txt reports
PDF page sizes takes one PDF and writes one line for each page. There is no page field. The download is a text file named sizes.txt. The worker does not build a new PDF. It loads the file with pdf-lib and reads each page. It does not copy a page into another document. Each line has three fields and no extra fields. The first field is the page number, counting from 1. The second field is the media-box width from getWidth. The third field is the media-box height from getHeight. A single space separates those fields. A trailing newline ends every line. A US Letter page is written as 1 612 792. A page of 200 by 100 points is written as 200 then 100. A page of 300 by 150 points is written as 300 then 150. A page of 400 by 200 points rotated 90 degrees is still written as 400 then 200. The tool does not apply rotation. getWidth returns the media-box width and does not swap the sides. getHeight returns the media-box height and does not swap the sides. The rotation angle is not printed. Text on the page is not copied into sizes.txt. A link is not copied. The title Keep Title is not written. Nothing is rasterized. Three pages become three lines. This is not Split horizontal PDF, which writes split-horizontal.pdf. This is not Resize PDF, which builds a fitted page. This is not PDF to text, which writes document.txt. The original file on disk is not rewritten.
The list runs in this tab with the open-source workers. The file is not uploaded. There is no GridFS copy. Closing the tab drops the copy. The browser downloads sizes.txt. A horizontal cut writes split-horizontal.pdf. Text extraction writes document.txt. The Word page at /pdf-to-word uploads.
There is no page cap on this list. The tab has to hold the file. This page does not need a pass. A day pass is $6, charged once, for 24 hours, and it does not renew. A year is $60 for 365 days. Neither charge is required to list page sizes here. The 20-page server cap is not this tool. That cap belongs to PDF to Word, OCR, and heavy compress.
An empty file stops with "This PDF could not be read." Bytes that are not a PDF stop with "This PDF could not be read." A file with no pages stops with "This PDF has no pages." A locked file, opened without its password, stops with "Expected instance of PDFDict, but got instance of undefined". Unlock PDF is the separate page. This page does not ask for a password and does not guess one.
Steps
- Drop the file. It stays in this tab.
- Set the one option on the page, if it has one.
- Download the result. Closing the tab drops the copy.
