How to compress a PDF for email
Add your PDF and we make a smaller copy for you to attach. Your photos keep their quality. There is no size target here, so you never see a size note. A scan often stays close to its old size, because its pictures were already compressed. You get one PDF named compressed.pdf, even if it is still big for some inboxes. Email services set different size limits, so we cannot promise your message will go through. If a site asks for 1 MB, use Compress PDF to 1 MB. If a form asks for 2 MB, use Compress PDF under 2 MB. Those pages check the size. We do not send the email for you. Use it before you attach a report, a scan or a signed form to a message.
Your file stays on your device. It is never uploaded. Your original is not changed, and we add no watermark. Text you could select before is still selectable. Attach compressed.pdf in your own email app.
Free, with no account, no daily limit and no page limit. Very large files depend on your device's memory. Close the tab when you finish and nothing stays behind. To split a long file into parts instead, use Split PDF.
If your email still bounces, the email service decided the file was too big. Heavy compress can help. It uploads your PDF to our server, lowers photo detail to about 150 DPI (dots per inch), keeps text as real text, takes up to 20 pages, and deletes your file within 30 minutes. It needs a $6 day pass or the $60 year. Compress PDF to 1 MB and Compress PDF under 2 MB tell you when the file is over their limit. Password-protected? Unlock it first with Unlock PDF, using the password you already know.

Common questions
Why is there no size box for my email limit?
Email services do not share one size limit, and a preset that quietly misses would be worse than none. This page gives you compressed.pdf with no note. If you know your limit, use Compress PDF to 1 MB or Compress PDF under 2 MB.
Does this page upload or email my PDF?
No. Your file stays on your device, and we do not send email. You get compressed.pdf to attach yourself. Only PDF to Word, OCR and heavy compress upload files.
Will the text stay sharp in my email attachment?
Yes. Text stays real text, and photos keep their quality. A photo-heavy PDF that still bounces needs heavy compress. Pages are not turned into pictures.
Is it free to compress a PDF for email?
Yes. No account, no daily limit, no watermark. You can compress as many files as you like.
