What this deletion changes
Delete PDF page takes one PDF and a number field named page. The input is type=number and starts at 1. The label is Page. Counting starts at 1. The worker loads the file with pdf-lib and calls removePage on that index. The other pages stay in the same document and keep their order. Choosing page 1 in a two-page file leaves one page. Text that says ONE is removed. Text that says TWO stays and becomes the first page. The document title stays Keep Title. A kept page rotated 90 degrees keeps that rotation. A kept page that is 300 by 150 points stays 300 by 150 points. A link whose URI is https://example.com/keep-link stays with the page that carried it. Choosing the last page of three leaves ONE then TWO. Choosing the middle page leaves ONE then THREE. The count drops by one. The download is one PDF named without-page.pdf, not a zip. The original file is not rewritten. This is not Organize PDF, which can rotate, reorder, or delete several pages. This is not Odd and even PDF pages. This is not Reverse PDF, which deletes nothing. This is not Duplicate PDF page. Nothing is rasterized, so kept words stay selectable.
The removal runs in this tab with the open-source workers. The file is not uploaded. There is no GridFS copy. Open the network panel, drop a PDF, and that file should not appear as an upload. Closing the tab drops the copy. The browser downloads without-page.pdf. Organize PDF is the custom order. The Word page at /pdf-to-word uploads.
There is no page cap on this removal. The tab has to hold the file. No account is required here. This page does not need a pass. A day pass is $6, charged once, for 24 hours, and it does not renew. A year is $60 for 365 days. Neither charge is required to delete one page here. The free server file is one PDF to Word conversion, up to 20 pages, and that 20-page server cap is not this tool. OCR and heavy compress are paid uploads.
Page must be a whole number from 1 through the page count. A fraction, a value below 1, or a value past the last page fails with "Name a page that exists." Removing the only page fails with "A PDF needs at least one page." A PDF with no pages fails with "This PDF has no pages." Empty bytes, and a file that cannot be opened, fail with "This PDF could not be read." A locked PDF fails with "Expected instance of PDFDict, but got instance of undefined". Unlock PDF is the separate page. This page does not guess a password.
Steps
- Drop the file. It stays in this tab.
- Set the one option on the page, if it has one.
- Download the result. Closing the tab drops the copy.
Questions
Which page is removed?
The number you type, counting from 1. The field starts at 1. Page 1 removes the first page and keeps later pages in order. A number below 1, a fraction, or a number past the end stops the run. A one-page file cannot lose its only page. Organize PDF deletes several pages.
Is the PDF uploaded?
No. The removal runs in this tab. The file is not uploaded. Open the network panel and the PDF should not appear as an upload. Closing the tab drops the copy. You get without-page.pdf. PDF to Word is the page that uploads.
Do the words and the link stay?
Yes, on a page that stays. Text that says TWO stays when that page stays. The document title stays Keep Title. A rotation of 90 degrees stays. A size of 300 by 150 points stays. The link https://example.com/keep-link stays on a kept page. The page does not become a picture.
Does this removal need the $6 day pass?
No. This page does not need a pass. A $6 day pass lasts 24 hours, is charged once, and does not renew. A $60 year lasts 365 days. Neither charge is required to delete one page here. The 20-page server cap is not this tool.
