What this copy adds

Duplicate PDF page takes one PDF and one page number. The download is one file named duplicated.pdf. The result is still one PDF, not a zip and not a picture. The worker loads the file with pdf-lib and copies that one page into the same document. The copy is inserted immediately after the page you named. Choosing page 1 in a two-page file makes three pages. A page whose text says ONE is copied, so the first page and the inserted page both say ONE. A later page whose text says TWO stays last. The document title stays Keep Title. A page rotated 90 degrees keeps that rotation on the source and on the copy. A page that is 200 by 100 points stays 200 by 100 points, and the copy matches it. A later page that is 300 by 150 points stays 300 by 150 points. A link whose URI is https://example.com/keep-link stays on the source page and is copied onto the new page. Choosing the last page puts the copy at the end, so the order is ONE then TWO then TWO. The page count grows by one. This is not Add blank page, which inserts an empty page. This copy carries the drawing, the rotation, and the link. This is not Organize PDF, which can rotate, reorder, or delete. This is not Reverse PDF, which flips the whole file. Nothing is rasterized.

The copy runs in this tab with the open-source workers. The file is not uploaded. There is no GridFS copy. Open the network panel, drop a PDF, and that file should not appear as an upload. Closing the tab drops the copy. The browser downloads duplicated.pdf. Fitting a page onto Letter or A4 is the Resize page. The Word page at /pdf-to-word uploads.

There is no page cap on this copy. The tab has to hold the file. No account is required here. This copy does not need a pass. A day pass is $6, charged once, for 24 hours, and it does not renew. A year is $60 for 365 days. Neither charge is required to duplicate a page here. The 20-page server cap is not this tool. That cap belongs to PDF to Word, OCR, and heavy compress.

An empty file stops with "This PDF could not be read." A file with no pages stops with "This PDF has no pages." A page number that is not in the file stops with "Name a page that exists." A locked file, opened without its password, stops with "Expected instance of PDFDict, but got instance of undefined". Unlock PDF is the separate page. This page does not ask for a password and does not guess one.

Steps

  1. Drop the file. It stays in this tab.
  2. Set the one option on the page, if it has one.
  3. Download the result. Closing the tab drops the copy.

Questions

Which page is copied?

The number you type, counting from 1. Page 1 copies the first page and inserts the copy after it. The last page number copies that page onto the end. A number past the last page stops the run.

Is the PDF uploaded?

No. The copy runs in this tab. The file is not uploaded. Open the network panel, drop the file, and the PDF should not appear as an upload. Closing the tab drops the copy. You get one file named duplicated.pdf. The original file on the computer is not rewritten. PDF to Word is the page that uploads.

Do the words and the link stay?

Yes. Text that says ONE stays on the source and on the inserted page. Text that says TWO stays on the later page. The document title stays Keep Title. A page rotated 90 degrees keeps that rotation. The link https://example.com/keep-link stays on the source and on the copy. The tool does not turn the page into a picture.

Does this copy need the $6 day pass?

No. A $6 day pass lasts 24 hours, is charged once, and does not renew. A $60 year lasts 365 days. Neither charge is required to duplicate a page here. The 20-page server cap is not this tool.
