What this reverse changes

Reverse PDF takes one PDF and downloads one file named reversed.pdf. The result is still one PDF, not a zip and not a picture. The worker loads the file with pdf-lib, removes each page from that same document, and adds those pages back from last to first. It does not open a second empty PDF and copy pages across. A file whose pages read ONE, then TWO, then THREE comes back as THREE, then TWO, then ONE. The document title stays. A page rotated 90 degrees keeps that rotation on the page that moves. A link annotation moves with its page and keeps its URI, including https://example.com/one. A text note moves with its page and keeps its contents, including NOTE-THREE. An AcroForm text field that says Ada Lovelace still says Ada Lovelace, and the field stays on the page it was drawn on. The catalog still has the form. This is not a crop, not a resize, not a flatten, and not a booklet. Nothing is rasterized. Words drawn with a standard font stay extractable. The page count stays the same. A one-page file comes back as that same page. Organize PDF is the separate page when you want an order other than a full reverse.

The reverse runs in this tab with the open-source workers. The file is not uploaded. There is no GridFS copy. Open the network panel, drop a PDF, and that file should not appear as an upload. Closing the tab drops the copy. The browser downloads reversed.pdf. A custom page order is the Organize page. The Word page at /pdf-to-word uploads.

There is no page cap on this reverse. The tab has to hold the file. No account is required here. This reverse does not need a pass. A day pass is $6, charged once, for 24 hours, and it does not renew. A year is $60 for 365 days. Neither charge is required to reverse pages here. The 20-page server cap is not this tool. That cap belongs to PDF to Word, OCR, and heavy compress.

An empty file stops with "This PDF could not be read." A file with no pages stops with "This PDF has no pages." A locked file, opened without its password, stops with "Expected instance of PDFDict, but got instance of undefined". Unlock PDF is the separate page. This page does not ask for a password and does not guess one.

Steps

  1. Drop the file. It stays in this tab.
  2. Set the one option on the page, if it has one.
  3. Download the result. Closing the tab drops the copy.

Questions

Does the first page become the last?

Yes. Pages labeled ONE, then TWO, then THREE come back as THREE, then TWO, then ONE. A file that has a single page stays a single page. The count of pages does not change. A page rotated 90 degrees keeps that rotation.

Is the PDF uploaded?

No. The reverse runs in this tab. The file is not uploaded. Open the network panel, drop the file, and the PDF should not appear as an upload. Closing the tab drops the copy. You get one file named reversed.pdf. The original file on the computer is not rewritten. PDF to Word is the page that uploads.

Do the title, the rotation, and the form stay?

The document title stays. A page rotated 90 degrees keeps that rotation. A text field that reads Ada Lovelace still reads Ada Lovelace, on the same page content, after that page moves. The marker NOTE-THREE moves with its page. The link https://example.com/one moves with its page. This is not redaction and not a raster.

Does reverse need the $6 day pass?

No. A $6 day pass lasts 24 hours, is charged once, and does not renew. A $60 year lasts 365 days. Neither charge is required to reverse pages here. The 20-page server cap is not this tool.
