How to crop only one side of a PDF
This tool trims one edge of every page and leaves the other three sides alone. You pick the edge: top, right, bottom or left. Then you type how much to cut, in points. A point is 1/72 of an inch, so 36 points is half an inch. The starting edge is top and the starting value is 36. A page that is 200 by 100 points, cropped 20 points from the top, shows a 200 by 80 area. The page count stays the same. Cropping hides the cut part. It does not delete it, so don't use this to remove private information. It is useful for cutting a header, a footer or a scan border off one side only. Use it when just one side has the problem, such as a dark edge from a scanner or a header you do not want to print.
Choose your PDF. Pick the edge and type the points. Press the button and download cropped.pdf. To trim all four sides by the same amount, use Crop PDF on all four sides. To undo a crop, use Uncrop PDF. The new file is a normal PDF. You can open it in any viewer, print it, or send it to someone else.
Type a whole number greater than 0. The crop can't use up the whole page, so at least 1 point must be left. There is no page limit. Very large files depend on your device's memory, so a huge file may be slow. It's free, with no account and no watermark.
If you see a message about the points, type a whole number greater than 0, and a smaller one if the page is small. Password-protected? Unlock it first with Unlock PDF, then come back. If the file won't open, it may be damaged or not a real PDF. Try opening it in another viewer first.

Common questions
Which edge gets cropped?
Only the edge you pick. Top is the starting choice, and the amount starts at 36 points. The other three sides stay as they are. The download is cropped.pdf.
Does Crop one edge of a PDF upload my file?
No. Your file stays on your device. It's never uploaded, and nothing is sent to us. When it's done you download cropped.pdf.
What happens to a 200 by 100 page?
Cropping 20 points from the top leaves a visible area of 200 by 80. The cut part is hidden, not deleted, so it is still inside the file.
Is cropping one edge of a PDF free?
Yes, it's free. No account, no daily limit, no watermark.
