How to add a cover page to a PDF
Add a cover page to PDF puts one new page in front of your document. You type a title of up to 200 characters, and it is printed in black, centered in the middle of the page. The cover is US Letter size, 8.5 by 11 inches, in portrait, with nothing else on it. Your original pages follow in order, and your page count goes up by one. The words stay real text you can select and search, links keep working, and page sizes stay the same. The cover is plain by design, so you can add your own look later.
Your file stays on your device. It is never uploaded, so contracts, statements and scans stay private. The new file downloads as with-cover.pdf, and your original is not changed. Close the tab and nothing is left behind. We never add a watermark or ask for your email.
It's free. You don't need an account, there is no daily limit, and we never add a watermark. You can use it as many times as you like. There is no page limit either. Very large files depend on your device's memory, so close other tabs if a big file feels slow.
If it doesn't work, check the file first. A password-protected PDF can't be opened here, so unlock it with Unlock PDF and try again. A damaged file, or a file that isn't a PDF, can't be read either, so try a fresh copy. Still stuck? Try the latest Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge. To change the title saved inside the file without adding a page, use Change PDF title. To add a blank page instead, use Add a blank page to PDF. To add page numbers, use Page X of Y.
