How to print 9 pages per sheet from a PDF
This tool puts nine of your pages on each portrait US Letter sheet, in a grid of three columns and three rows. There is half an inch of space around the edge and between pages. Reading goes left to right, then top to bottom. Pages 1, 2 and 3 are on the top row. Pages 4, 5 and 6 are in the middle. Pages 7, 8 and 9 are at the bottom. The next nine pages start a new sheet. A short last group leaves empty spots. Each page is made smaller to fit its spot and stays centered. Nothing is cropped or stretched. The pages are small, so this suits thumbnails and quick proofs. People use this to save paper and to look over a long file at a glance. Nine small pages per sheet work best for slides and thumbnails.
Choose your PDF and press the button. There is no setting to change. You download nine-up.pdf. Need a different layout? Try 4 pages per sheet, or 2 pages per sheet on a landscape sheet. This tool is not a booklet maker. It keeps pages in order and does not rearrange them for folding. The new file is a normal PDF. You can open it in any viewer, print it, or send it to someone else.
There is no page limit. Very large files depend on your device's memory, so a huge file may be slow. It's free, with no account and no watermark.
Password-protected? Unlock it first with Unlock PDF, then come back. If the file won't open, it may be damaged or not a real PDF. Try opening it in another viewer first. A PDF with no pages can't be placed on a sheet.

Common questions
Will the pages be cropped or stretched?
No. Each page is made smaller to fit its spot in the grid and centered there. Its shape stays the same. A short last sheet simply leaves some spots empty.
Does 9 pages per sheet PDF upload my PDF?
No. Your file stays on your device. It's never uploaded, and nothing is sent to us. When it's done you download nine-up.pdf.
Can I still select the text?
Yes. Pages are placed as they are, not turned into pictures, so your text stays real text. Form fields on the original pages are not kept.
Is 9 pages per sheet PDF free?
Yes, it's free. No account, no daily limit, no watermark.
