What dropping the last page changes
Drop last PDF page takes one PDF and shows no extra form field. There is no page box and no range box. The download is one file named without-last.pdf. The worker loads the file with pdf-lib, ignoreEncryption true and updateMetadata false, then calls removePage on the last index only. Earlier pages stay in that document and keep their order. Pages that say ONE and then TWO become one page that still says ONE. Pages that say ONE, then TWO, then THREE become ONE and then TWO. The content stream of each kept page is not rewritten. Nothing is rasterized, so the words stay selectable. A link on a kept page stays. A rotation flag on a kept page stays. The document title stays Keep Title. A page that is 200 by 100 points stays 200 by 100 points. The original file on disk is not rewritten. This is not Delete PDF page, which asks for a page number and can remove a middle page. This is not Organize PDF, which can delete several pages. This is not Keep PDF range, which can drop the front. This is not Reverse PDF, which keeps every page.
The drop runs in this tab with the open-source workers. The file is not uploaded. There is no GridFS copy. Open the network panel, drop a PDF, and that file should not appear as an upload. Closing the tab drops the copy. The browser downloads without-last.pdf. Delete PDF page names one page. The Word page at /pdf-to-word uploads.
There is no page cap on this drop. The tab has to hold the file. There is no account on this page. This page does not need a pass. A day pass is $6, charged once, for 24 hours, and it does not renew. A year is $60 for 365 days. Neither charge is required to drop the last page here. The 20-page server cap is not this tool. That cap belongs to PDF to Word, OCR, and heavy compress.
An empty file stops with "This PDF could not be read." A file that is not a PDF stops with "This PDF could not be read." A file with no pages stops with "This PDF has no pages." A one-page file stops with "A PDF needs at least one page." A locked file, opened without its password, stops with "Expected instance of PDFDict, but got instance of undefined". Unlock PDF is the separate page. This page does not ask for a password and does not guess one.
Steps
- Drop the file. It stays in this tab.
- Set the one option on the page, if it has one.
- Download the result. Closing the tab drops the copy.
