What this move changes

Move PDF page takes one PDF and two whole numbers. From names the page that leaves its old place. To names the position that page should occupy after the save. Counting starts at 1. The download is one file named moved.pdf. The worker loads the file with pdf-lib and keeps the same document. Other pages stay in the order they already had. A file whose pages say ONE, then TWO, then THREE, with From set to 3 and To set to 1, puts THREE on page 1 and ONE on page 2. TWO follows them and becomes page 3. The document title stays Keep Title. A page rotated 90 degrees keeps that rotation. A link whose URI is https://example.com/keep-link stays on the page that carried it. When From and To name the same page, the worker saves the same pages and does not reorder them. The page count stays the same. This is not Reverse PDF, which flips the whole file. This is not Organize PDF, which asks for a full custom order. Nothing is rasterized.

The move runs in this tab with the open-source workers. The file is not uploaded. There is no GridFS copy. Open the network panel, drop a PDF, and that file should not appear as an upload. Closing the tab drops the copy. The browser downloads moved.pdf. The Word page at /pdf-to-word uploads.

There is no page cap on this move. The tab has to hold the file. No account is required here. This move does not need a pass. A day pass is $6, charged once, for 24 hours, and it does not renew. A year is $60 for 365 days. Neither charge is required to move a page here. The 20-page server cap is not this tool. That cap belongs to PDF to Word, OCR, and heavy compress.

An empty file stops with "This PDF could not be read." A file that cannot be opened stops with the same sentence. A file with no pages stops with "This PDF has no pages." A number that is not a whole number, that sits below 1, or that runs past the last page stops with "Name a page that exists." That check applies to both From and To. A locked file, opened without its password, stops with "Expected instance of PDFDict, but got instance of undefined" when that is the pdf-lib error. Unlock PDF is the separate page. This page does not ask for a password and does not guess one.

Steps

  1. Drop the file. It stays in this tab.
  2. Set the one option on the page, if it has one.
  3. Download the result. Closing the tab drops the copy.

Questions

Which page moves?

From names the page that leaves its place, counting from 1. To names the position that page should occupy. The other pages keep their relative order. The same number in both fields saves the file without a reorder. A number past the last page stops the run.

Is the PDF uploaded?

No. The move runs in this tab. The file is not uploaded. Open the network panel, drop the file, and the PDF should not appear as an upload. Closing the tab drops the copy. You get one file named moved.pdf. The page at /pdf-to-word uploads.

Do the words stay with their page?

Yes. Text that says ONE stays on that page when the page moves. Text that says TWO stays in its relative place. Text that says THREE moves with its page. The document title stays Keep Title. A page rotated 90 degrees keeps that rotation. The link https://example.com/keep-link stays on its page. The tool does not turn the page into a picture.

Does this move need the $6 day pass?

No. A $6 day pass lasts 24 hours, is charged once, and does not renew. A $60 year lasts 365 days. Neither charge is required to move a page here. The 20-page server cap is not this tool.
