How a PNG becomes a PDF page
PNG to PDF makes one PDF page from each PNG you choose. The page size is that image's own pixel size, the embedded width and height. The image is drawn at 0,0 and fills that page. It does not fit the picture onto a letter sheet, and it does not crop it. It does not downsample. It does not apply JPEG quality 0.92, and it does not cap the long edge at 2400. Those limits belong to PDF to JPG, which draws PDF pages as pictures. This page goes the other way. Several files are allowed, in the order you chose them. The tool does not sort by file name. The download from this form is one PDF named images.pdf, not a zip.
The work runs in this browser tab. The images are not uploaded. Open the network panel, choose the PNGs, and they should not appear as an upload. The PDF is built here. Closing the tab drops the copy. No server holds a copy. There is no PDF Commons watermark. The tool does not stamp a name, a logo, or a trial line on the pages. A JPEG belongs on JPG to PDF. This page is for PNG.
There is no published page cap and no file-size cap. The tab has to hold the images while the PDF is built. If the browser cannot keep them, the build cannot finish. The pictures are placed, not downsampled. There is no account. A day pass is $6 and does not renew. A year is $60. Neither charge is required to build the PDF here. The free server file is PDF to Word, one file, up to 20 pages, and that page uploads. PNG to PDF is not that offer.
An empty choice fails before a PDF is built. With no file chosen, the form asks you to choose a file. A picture of text stays a picture. The words are not selectable, because the tool only places the image. OCR is the server page that reads pictures of text, and OCR uploads the file. A JPEG belongs on JPG to PDF. This page starts from PNG files and writes one PDF named images.pdf.
Steps
- Drop the file. It stays in this tab.
- Set the one option on the page, if it has one.
- Download the result. Closing the tab drops the copy.
Questions
Which PNG is the first page?
The first PNG you choose. Page order is the order you chose the files. The tool does not sort by file name. This form cannot reorder the files afterward. Choose again if the sequence is wrong. Each file is one page at the embedded width and height, drawn at 0,0 so it fills the page. The download is images.pdf, not a zip.
Are the PNGs uploaded?
No. PNG to PDF stays in this tab. The images are not uploaded. Open the network panel, choose the PNGs, and they should not appear as an upload. Closing the tab drops the copy. There is no PDF Commons watermark. PDF to Word uploads one file, up to 20 pages, and OCR uploads too. This form does not.
Will the words in a PNG become text I can select?
No. A picture of text stays a picture. The words are not selectable, because the tool only places the image. It does not read the letters. OCR is the server page that reads pictures of text. OCR uploads the file and needs a $6 day pass or the $60 year. The free server file is PDF to Word, one file, up to 20 pages, and that page uploads. PNG to PDF is not that offer.
Do I need an account to build this PDF?
No. This page has no account. A day pass is $6 and does not renew. A year is $60. Neither charge is required to build the PDF here. You need one of those only for a server job such as OCR, or for a PDF to Word after the free file.
