Where the 2 by 2 poster lands
Poster PDF takes one PDF and tiles every page across four portrait Letter sheets. There is no paper field and no page field. The download is one file named poster.pdf. The worker loads the file with pdf-lib. It draws each source page with embedPage onto a canvas that is two Letter pages wide and two Letter pages tall, then sets the media box and the crop box of four copies. Letter portrait is 612 by 792 points. The whole poster is 1224 by 1584 points. The first sheet is the top left tile. The next sheet is the top right tile. The third sheet is the bottom left tile. The fourth sheet is the bottom right tile. A page that measures 200 by 100 points is scaled to fit that poster and kept centered. The aspect stays. The worker does not crop and does not stretch. Text that says ONE stays selectable on the tile that holds it. A page rotated 90 degrees still yields the word Hello, because pdf-lib 1.17 reads the media box and swaps width and height before the fit. Five source pages become 20 Letter sheets. One source page becomes four Letter sheets. This is not Four-up PDF. That page places four source pages on one portrait sheet, offers A4, and writes four-up.pdf. This page always uses Letter and spreads one source page across four sheets. This is not Split vertical PDF, which cuts one page into a left half and a right half in split-vertical.pdf. Annotations and form fields are not copied. The new file does not keep the source title. The original file on disk is not rewritten.
The poster runs in this tab with the open-source workers. The file is not uploaded. There is no GridFS copy. Closing the tab drops the copy. The browser downloads poster.pdf. Four-up PDF writes four-up.pdf. Split vertical PDF writes split-vertical.pdf. The Word page at /pdf-to-word uploads.
This poster takes at most 5 source pages. A sixth page is refused. There is no other page cap. The tab has to hold the file and the tiles. This page does not need a pass. A day pass is $6, charged once, for 24 hours, and it does not renew. A year is $60 for 365 days. Neither charge is required to tile pages here. The 20-page server cap is not this tool. Five source pages can become 20 Letter sheets, and that count is not the server cap. That cap belongs to PDF to Word, OCR, and heavy compress.
An empty file stops with "This PDF could not be read." Bytes that are not a PDF stop with "This PDF could not be read." A file with no pages stops with "This PDF has no pages." A file with more than 5 pages stops with "This poster takes at most 5 pages." A locked file, opened without its password, stops with "Expected instance of PDFDict, but got instance of undefined". Unlock PDF is the separate page. This page does not ask for a password and does not guess one.
Steps
- Drop the file. It stays in this tab.
- Set the one option on the page, if it has one.

Questions
Which tile comes first?
The top left Letter sheet comes first in poster.pdf, then the top right, then the bottom left, then the bottom right.
Is the PDF uploaded?
