What repeating one page changes

Repeat PDF page takes one PDF, a page number, and a copy count. The page field starts at 1. Copies in a row starts at 2. The download is one file named repeated.pdf. The worker uses pdf-lib to load the file with ignoreEncryption true and updateMetadata false, copies the chosen page, and inserts those copies immediately after it. The count includes the original. Pages that say ONE, then TWO, then THREE, with the second page repeated three times, become ONE, then TWO, then TWO, then TWO, then THREE. Two copies insert one extra page. Thirty is the highest count. The content stream of each copy is not rewritten. Nothing is rasterized, so the words stay selectable. A link on the repeated page stays on every copy. A rotation flag stays on every copy. The document title stays Keep Title. A page that is 200 by 100 points stays 200 by 100 points. Neighbor pages keep their own size. The original file on disk is not rewritten. This is not Duplicate PDF page, which inserts one copy and has no count. This is not Drop last PDF page, which removes the end. This is not Organize PDF, and it is not Split every N PDF.

The repeat runs in this tab with the open-source workers. The file is not uploaded. There is no GridFS copy. Closing the tab drops the copy. The browser downloads repeated.pdf. Duplicate PDF page inserts one copy only. The Word page at /pdf-to-word uploads.

There is no page cap on this repeat. The tab has to hold the file. There is no account on this page. This page does not need a pass. A day pass is $6, charged once, for 24 hours, and it does not renew. A year is $60 for 365 days. Neither charge is required to repeat a page here. The 20-page server cap is not this tool. That cap belongs to PDF to Word, OCR, and heavy compress.

An empty file stops with "This PDF could not be read." A file that is not a PDF stops with "This PDF could not be read." A file with no pages stops with "This PDF has no pages." A count outside 2 to 30 stops with "Enter a whole number from 2 to 30." One, zero, thirty-one, and a fraction all use that sentence. A page that is missing or past the end stops with "Name a page that exists." A locked file stops with "Expected instance of PDFDict, but got instance of undefined". Unlock PDF is separate. This page does not ask for a password and does not guess one.

Steps

  1. Drop the file. It stays in this tab.
  2. Set the one option on the page, if it has one.
  3. Download the result. Closing the tab drops the copy.

Questions

Which page is repeated, and how many times?

Name one page that exists and a whole number from 2 to 30. The number includes the original. Repeating the second page three times in ONE, then TWO, then THREE yields ONE, then TWO, then TWO, then TWO, then THREE. Choosing two inserts one extra page. Other pages stay in order. Duplicate PDF page has no count field.

Is the PDF uploaded?

No. The repeat runs in this tab. The file is not uploaded. Closing the tab drops the copy. You get one file named repeated.pdf. The Word page at /pdf-to-word uploads.

Do the words and the link stay?

Yes, on every copy. Text that says TWO stays. The document title stays Keep Title. A rotation flag stays. A page that is 200 by 100 points stays that size. A link stays on each copy. Nothing is rasterized, so the page does not become a picture.
