What this one-page turn changes
Rotate one PDF page takes one PDF and a Page field named page. The label is Page and the default is 1. The number counts from 1. The download is one file named rotated.pdf. The worker loads the file with pdf-lib and adds 90 degrees to the rotation flag on that one page, then normalizes the flag to 0, 90, 180, or 270. It does not rewrite the content stream or change the media box. Other pages keep their flags. A page that is 200 by 100 points stays 200 by 100 points. Naming page 2 on a two-page file turns only the second page, so a flag of 0 becomes 90 and page 1 stays at 0. A square page still changes, so a square at 0 becomes 90. A named page at 90 becomes 180, 180 becomes 270, and 270 becomes 0. Text that says ONE stays in the content stream. The document title stays Keep Title. A link stays on its page. This is not Rotate PDF 90, which turns every page. This is not Organize PDF, which can reorder and rotate several pages. This is not Orient PDF, which leaves a square alone. Nothing is rasterized, so the words stay selectable.
The one-page turn runs in this tab with the open-source workers. The file is not uploaded. There is no GridFS copy. Open the network panel, drop a PDF, and that file should not appear as an upload. Closing the tab drops the copy. The browser downloads rotated.pdf. Rotate PDF 90 turns every page. The Word page at /pdf-to-word uploads.
There is no page cap on this one-page turn. The tab has to hold the file. There is no account on this page. This page does not need a pass. A day pass is $6, charged once, for 24 hours, and it does not renew. A year is $60 for 365 days. Neither charge is required to turn one page here. The 20-page server cap is not this tool. That cap belongs to PDF to Word, OCR, and heavy compress.
An empty file stops with "This PDF could not be read." A file that is not a PDF stops with "This PDF could not be read." A file with no pages stops with "This PDF has no pages." A missing page, a value that is not a whole number, or a page past the last page stops with "Name a page that exists." A locked file, opened without its password, stops with "Expected instance of PDFDict, but got instance of undefined". Unlock PDF is the separate page. This page does not ask for a password and does not guess one.
Steps
- Drop the file. It stays in this tab.
- Set the one option on the page, if it has one.
- Download the result. Closing the tab drops the copy.
Questions
Does only the named page turn?
