What this swap changes
Swap PDF pages takes one PDF and two number fields named Page A and Page B. Both default to 1. The numbers count from 1 and must name two different pages. The download is one file named swapped.pdf. The worker loads the file with pdf-lib, with ignoreEncryption set and updateMetadata left off, then exchanges those two pages inside the same document. Every other page stays where it already was. Pages that say ONE and then TWO, with Page A at 1 and Page B at 2, come back as TWO and then ONE. A third page that says THREE stays third. The page count does not change. The document title stays Keep Title. A link stays on the page it was drawn on and moves with that page. A rotation of 90 degrees stays on that page. A page that is 200 by 100 points stays 200 by 100 points, and a page that is 300 by 150 points stays 300 by 150 points. Nothing is rasterized. The content stream is not redrawn, so the words stay selectable. This is not Reverse PDF, which flips the whole file. This is not Organize PDF, which moves pages by hand. This is not Duplicate PDF page, which inserts a copy, and not Delete PDF page, which drops one page. The same page typed twice is refused.
The swap runs in this tab with the open-source workers. The file is not uploaded. There is no GridFS copy. Open the network panel, drop a PDF, and that file should not appear as an upload. Closing the tab drops the copy. The browser downloads swapped.pdf. Reverse PDF flips every page. The Word page at /pdf-to-word uploads.
There is no page cap on this swap. The tab has to hold the file. There is no account on this page. This page does not need a pass. A day pass is $6, charged once, for 24 hours, and it does not renew. A year is $60 for 365 days. Neither charge is required to swap two pages here. The 20-page server cap is not this tool. That cap belongs to PDF to Word, OCR, and heavy compress.
An empty file stops with "This PDF could not be read." A file that is not a PDF stops with "This PDF could not be read." A file with no pages stops with "This PDF has no pages." A value that is not a whole number, a value below 1, a value past the last page, or the same page twice stops with "Name a page that exists." A locked file, opened without its password, stops with "Expected instance of PDFDict, but got instance of undefined". Unlock PDF is the separate page. This page does not ask for a password and does not guess one.
Steps
- Drop the file. It stays in this tab.
- Set the one option on the page, if it has one.
- Download the result. Closing the tab drops the copy.
Questions
Which pages move?
Page A and Page B count from 1. Setting them to 1 and 2 exchanges those pages. Text that said ONE then TWO becomes TWO then ONE. Every other page stays in place. Reverse PDF flips the whole file instead.
Is the PDF uploaded?
No. The swap runs in this tab. The file is not uploaded. Closing the tab drops the copy. You get swapped.pdf. PDF to Word is the page that uploads.
Do the words, the link, and the rotation stay?
Yes. Text that says ONE moves with that page. The document title stays Keep Title. A rotation of 90 degrees stays. A link stays on its page. The page does not become a picture.
