Where an imposed sheet opens

Unimpose PDF opens each two-up printer sheet into two reader pages. There is no page field. The download is one file named unimposed.pdf. The worker loads the file with pdf-lib, copies the sheet, and sets the media box and the crop box. Nothing is rasterized, and the content stream is copied rather than redrawn. The left reader page comes first. The right reader page follows. The split is the vertical midpoint of that sheet's media box. A sheet that measures 200 by 100 points becomes two pages of 100 by 100 points. The left media box starts at the original x. A box at x 0 stays at x 0 on the left page. The right media box starts at the original x plus half the width, so that right page starts at x 100. Text at x 20 that says ONE stays on the left page. Text at x 120 that says RIGHT stays on the right page. A link on the first sheet is copied onto both new pages. The title Keep Title stays, and the author Keep Author stays. A sheet of 300 by 150 points becomes two pages of 150 by 150 points, with the right box at x 150. A sheet of 400 by 200 points rotated 90 degrees becomes two pages of 200 by 200 points, and both keep that rotation. The right box starts at x 200. A box that already starts at x 10 keeps x 10 on the left page, and the right page starts at x 110. This catalog page is not Split vertical PDF, which writes split-vertical.pdf. It is not One page PDFs, which packs pages.zip. It is not Split PDF, and it is not Split every N PDF, which packs parts.zip. It is not Split horizontal PDF, which writes split-horizontal.pdf. The file on disk is not rewritten.

The split runs in this tab with the open-source workers. The file is not uploaded. There is no GridFS copy. Closing the tab drops the copy. The browser downloads unimposed.pdf. Split vertical PDF writes split-vertical.pdf on its own page. One page PDFs packs pages.zip. The Word page at /pdf-to-word uploads.

There is no page cap on this split. The tab has to hold the file. This page does not need a pass. A day pass is $6, charged once, for 24 hours, and it does not renew. A year is $60 for 365 days. Neither charge is required to unimpose sheets here. The 20-page server cap is not this tool. That cap belongs to PDF to Word, OCR, and heavy compress.

An empty file stops with "This PDF could not be read." Bytes that are not a PDF stop with "This PDF could not be read." A file with no pages stops with "This PDF has no pages." A locked file, opened without its password, stops with "Expected instance of PDFDict, but got instance of undefined". Unlock PDF is the separate page. This page does not ask for a password and does not guess one.

Steps
