How to extract odd or even pages from a PDF

Choose odd pages or even pages and keep every other page of your PDF. Odd keeps pages 1, 3, 5 and so on. Even keeps pages 2, 4, 6 and so on. Counting starts at 1, so the first page is odd. The pages you keep stay in their original order. A three-page file gives pages 1 and 3 with odd, and only page 2 with even. This helps you print on both sides with a printer that prints one side at a time. Print the odd pages, turn the stack over, then print the even pages. Kept pages keep their text, pictures and links, and the title stays. Links on removed pages go with those pages. You get odd-pages.pdf or even-pages.pdf. It also helps when a scanner gave you the front and back sides in one file and you want only the fronts.

Your file stays on your device. It is never uploaded. Your original is not changed, and we add no watermark.

Free, with no account, no daily limit and no page limit. Your device needs enough memory to hold the file. You can use it on as many files as you like.

A one-page file has no even pages, so choosing even stops with a message. Choose odd instead. If you have not made a choice, pick one and try again. If your file cannot be read, it may be damaged or not a PDF, so try another copy. Password-protected? Unlock it first with Unlock PDF, using the password you already know. To keep a custom range of pages, use Split PDF.

Common questions

How do I keep only the odd pages of a PDF?

Choose odd pages. You keep pages 1, 3, 5 and so on. Choose even pages to keep 2, 4, 6 and so on. A one-page file has no even pages, so that choice stops with a message.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. Your file stays on your device. You get a new file named odd-pages.pdf or even-pages.pdf, and your original is not changed. We add no watermark.

Will the text and links stay?

Yes, on the pages you keep. Their text, pictures and links stay, and so does the document title. Links on removed pages go away with those pages.

Is it free to extract odd or even pages?
