How to add page numbers to the top left of a PDF
This tool puts a page number in the top left corner of every page. The first page gets 1, the second gets 2, and the tenth gets 10. It is just the number, not "Page 1 of 10". There is nothing to set. The number is black, plain 12-point text. On a normal page it sits half an inch in from the left edge and two-thirds of an inch down from the top. On a very small page, it moves close to the corner. It's real text, so you can select and search it. Your pages stay as they are, and the text already on them is kept. Page numbers already printed on them are not removed. The page count and page size stay the same. If a page was rotated inside the file, the number follows the page's original layout, so check that page after you download. You get one file named top-left.pdf, and your original is not changed. For the bottom center, use Add page numbers.
Your PDF stays on your device. It's never uploaded, and you don't need to share an email address. Your browser makes the new file and saves it as top-left.pdf. When you close the page, nothing is left behind.
Numbering the top left is free. There's no account, no page limit, and no watermark. Very large files depend on your device's memory, so a huge PDF may not open.
If your PDF won't open, it may be damaged or may not be a real PDF. Try another copy. If it has no pages, there is nothing to number, so try a different file. Password-protected? It won't open here. Unlock it first with Unlock PDF, then try again. This tool never asks for a password and never tries to guess one.
How to use this tool
