How to resize a PDF to Letter or A4
Resize PDF puts every page of your PDF onto a new sheet of Letter or A4 paper. Letter is the default. Letter is 8.5 by 11 inches, and A4 is 210 by 297 millimeters. Each page is scaled to fit inside the new sheet and then centered. It keeps its shape, so a large page gets smaller and a small page gets bigger. Nothing is cut off or stretched. Pages that were saved turned sideways are measured the way they show. Pictures keep their quality. You get one PDF named resized.pdf, with no header, logo or our name added.
Your file stays on your device. It is never uploaded, and your original file is not changed. When you close the page, the copy in your browser is cleared. There is no watermark. That makes it safe for contracts, bank statements, medical records and other private files.
Resize PDF is free, with no account, no daily limit and no page limit. Very large files depend on your device's memory. There is nothing to install.
Pick Letter or A4 before you start. If the file is empty, damaged or not a PDF, try another copy. A PDF with no pages cannot be resized. Password-protected? Unlock it first with Unlock PDF. Want smaller pages by a set percent instead? Use Scale PDF. Want a smaller file in megabytes? Use Compress PDF.

Common questions
Will resizing a PDF crop or stretch my pages?
No. Each page is scaled to fit inside Letter or A4 and then centered. It keeps its shape. A wide page leaves some blank paper above and below it. A small page grows, and a large page shrinks. Nothing is cut off, and pictures are not made blurry.
Is my PDF uploaded when I resize it?
No. Your file stays on your device and is never uploaded. You get a new file named resized.pdf, and your original file is not changed.
Can I still select the text after resizing?
Yes, if you could select it before. Each page is placed on the new sheet as page content, not as a picture, so words stay words. You can still select, copy and search them. Notes, links and form fields are not copied to the new sheet.
Is Resize PDF free?
Yes, it's free. No account, no daily limit, no watermark.
