How to add text to the corner of a PDF

This tool puts a short line of text in the bottom right corner of every page. Type up to 40 characters, like a name, a code, or a version number. Extra spaces at the start and end are removed. The text is black, plain 12-point type, and it stays upright. It ends half an inch from the right edge and sits half an inch above the bottom. On a very short page it sits closer to the bottom. It's real text, so you can select and search it. Your pages stay as they are, and the text already on them is kept. It does not remove anything, and it is not a form field. For a tilted word across the page, use Add a watermark to PDF. You get one file named corner.pdf, and your original is not changed.

Your PDF stays on your device. It's never uploaded, and you don't need to share an email address. Your browser makes the new file and saves it as corner.pdf. When you close the page, nothing is left behind.

Adding corner text is free. There's no account, no page limit, and no watermark. Very large files depend on your device's memory, so a huge PDF may not open. The text can be up to 40 characters long.

If the text box is empty, you'll be asked to type something. If it is longer than 40 characters, shorten it and try again. If your PDF won't open, it may be damaged or may not be a real PDF. Try another copy. Password-protected? It won't open here. Unlock it first with Unlock PDF, then try again.

How to use this tool

  1. Choose your file. It never leaves your device.
  2. Pick a setting, if the page has one.
  3. Download your new file.

Common questions

How do I add text to a PDF corner?

Type your text in the box, up to 40 characters, and download the new file. It goes at the bottom right of every page, in black 12-point type. The same text appears on every page. You can't pick a different corner here.

Is my PDF uploaded when I add text?

No. Your file stays on your device. It's never uploaded. The text you type stays private too. You get corner.pdf as a download, and your original file is not changed.

Will the text already on my pages stay?

Yes. Nothing is removed. The new line is added on top as real text you can select. It is not a form field, and it is not tilted like a watermark.

Is it free to add text to a PDF?

Yes, it's free. No account, no daily limit, no watermark. Very large files depend on your device's memory.
