How to put two pages on one sheet in a PDF
This tool puts two pages side by side on one landscape sheet. It is also called two-up. You pick Letter or A4 paper, and Letter is the default. Each sheet has a half-inch margin on every edge and a half-inch gap between the two pages. Page 1 goes on the left and page 2 goes on the right. The next two pages start a new sheet. If your file has an odd number of pages, the last sheet has one page and an empty right side. Each page is scaled to fit its half and keeps its shape. Nothing is cut off. Pages stay in reading order, so this is not a booklet. For that, use PDF booklet. You get one PDF named two-up.pdf.
Your file stays on your device. It is never uploaded, and your original file is not changed. When you close the page, the copy in your browser is cleared. There is no watermark. That makes it safe for contracts, bank statements, medical records and other private files.
This tool is free, with no account, no daily limit and no page limit. Very large files depend on your device's memory.
Pick Letter or A4 before you start. If the file is empty, damaged or not a PDF, try another copy. A PDF with no pages cannot be used. Password-protected? Unlock it first with Unlock PDF. Want four pages on one sheet? Use Put four PDF pages on one page.

Common questions
Will two pages per sheet crop my pages or make a booklet?
No. Each page is scaled to fit one half of a landscape Letter or A4 sheet and centered there. It keeps its shape, and nothing is cut off. Pictures are not made blurry. Pages stay in reading order, so this is not a booklet.
Is my PDF uploaded when I put two pages on one sheet?
No. Your file stays on your device and is never uploaded. You get a new file named two-up.pdf, and your original file is not changed.
Can I still select the text?
Yes, if you could select it before. Each page is placed on the sheet as page content, not as a picture, so words stay words. Notes, links and form fields are not copied onto the new sheet.
Is putting two pages on one sheet free?
Yes, it's free. No account, no daily limit, no watermark.
