How to put four pages on one sheet in a PDF
This tool puts four pages on one upright sheet, in a grid of 2 by 2. It is also called four-up. You pick Letter or A4 paper, and Letter is the default. Each sheet has a half-inch margin on every edge and a half-inch gap between pages. Page 1 goes top left, page 2 top right, page 3 bottom left and page 4 bottom right. The next four pages start a new sheet. If the last sheet has fewer than four pages, the empty spots stay blank. Each page is scaled to fit its spot and keeps its shape. Nothing is cut off. This is handy for handouts, and it saves paper. You get one PDF named four-up.pdf.
Your file stays on your device. It is never uploaded, and your original file is not changed. When you close the page, the copy in your browser is cleared. There is no watermark. That makes it safe for contracts, bank statements, medical records and other private files.
This tool is free, with no account, no daily limit and no page limit. Very large files depend on your device's memory.
Pick Letter or A4 before you start. If the file is empty, damaged or not a PDF, try another copy. A PDF with no pages cannot be used. Password-protected? Unlock it first with Unlock PDF. Want two pages on a sideways sheet? Use Put two PDF pages on one page.

Common questions
Will four pages per sheet crop my pages or make a booklet?
No. Each page is scaled to fit one quarter of a portrait Letter or A4 sheet and centered there. It keeps its shape, and nothing is cut off. Pictures are not made blurry. Pages stay in reading order, so this is not a booklet.
Is my PDF uploaded when I put four pages on one sheet?
No. Your file stays on your device and is never uploaded. You get a new file named four-up.pdf, and your original file is not changed.
Can I still select the text?
Yes, if you could select it before. Each page is placed on the sheet as page content, not as a picture, so words stay words. Notes, links and form fields are not copied onto the new sheet.
Is putting four pages on one sheet free?
Yes, it's free. No account, no daily limit, no watermark.
