How to split two-up PDF sheets into single pages

Add a PDF made of two-up sheets, where two pages sit side by side on each sheet, and each sheet opens into two pages. The left page comes first, then the right page. Three sheets become six pages. The cut is at the exact middle of each sheet. It does not reorder pages, so a booklet laid out in fold order stays in that order. Text and pictures are copied, not redrawn, so nothing turns into a picture. Links on a sheet are copied onto both new pages. The document title stays. You download one file, unimposed.pdf. Want separate files for each page? Use Split PDF. Use it when a printer sheet or a spread has two pages next to each other and you want them one per page, for reading on a screen or for sending to someone.

Your file stays on your device. It is never uploaded. Your original is not changed, and we add no watermark.

Free, with no account, no daily limit and no page limit. Your device needs enough memory to hold the file. You can split as many files as you like.

If your file cannot be read, it may be damaged or not a PDF, so try another copy. Password-protected? Unlock it first with Unlock PDF, using the password you already know. If your sheets are stacked top and bottom instead of side by side, use Split PDF pages horizontally. If a page is cut in the wrong place, the sheet may not hold two equal pages side by side, because the cut always falls at the exact middle.

Common questions

Which page comes first after the split?

The left page comes first, and the right page follows it in unimposed.pdf. A three-sheet file gives six pages: left and right of sheet 1, then sheet 2, then sheet 3.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. Your file stays on your device. You get one file named unimposed.pdf. Your original is not changed, and we add no watermark.

Where does the cut fall on each sheet?

Exactly halfway across the sheet, so the left and right pages are the same width. Text and pictures stay on their own page, and the document title stays.

Is it free to split a two-up PDF?

Yes. No account, no daily limit, no watermark. You can split as many files as you like.
